Corporate Interface:
One of the most important dimensions of holistic learning environment is Institution’s Industry Linkage / Interface. In the view of growing acceptance of Industry Academia Linkage, NMIMS, Shirpur Campus has initiated and established multiple media of engaging with Corporates. At NMIMS Shirpur, Corporate Interface is not limited to Final Placements only;rather it has a vibrant presence of Corporates at campus via Faculty Engagement linked with their research works, Center of Excellence for extracurricular learning. Student’s projects are being amply supported and sponsored by Corporates. Corporate presence is ensured in the Students events to nurture the talent of budding professionals via expert talks and Departmental Industrial Visits. These help students find class room learning being implemented by Industry. Technical Internship Programs are incorporated for Engineering students for hands on work experience, Placement Preparation Training ties and finally very vibrant,healthy and ever increasing placement activities in addition of corporates demanding new generation technology skills.
Corporate - Faculty Engagement: At NMIMS various departments’ faculty members are engaged actively with companies in providing solutions to their complex challenges at work.
Center of Excellence: NMIMS Shirpur has Industrial Automation COE (Center of Excellence) -Bosch Rexroth Centre of Excellence in automation. Campus has active COE (Center of Excellence) of SAS – analytics major having programs leading to certification. NMIMS Shirpur has active training setup for Textile Industry professionals for their up skilling.
Corporate – Student Project Engagement: Team of UASNMIMS Shirpur students participated in Airo India Show with their aerial vehicle (DRONE) and received all round applauds for their most efficient aerial vehicle. The project was supported and sponsored by Dynamatic Technologies Ltd., Bangalore.
A team of Mechanical engineering students participated in SAE BAJA – where they were well appreciated as newcomer. The Off roader vehicle created by students was supported by Industry.
UASNMIMS team is representing University at International level at Maryland USA since last 3 years with the support of Dynamatic Technologies Ltd., Bangalore. In the three years, UAS NMIMS Team has scaled up its ranking from 19th to 5thposition.
Corporates @ Event: Various student platforms at NMIMS actively engage with corporates to have them at event as key note speaker to share their wisdom words with students. One such event this year witnessed 2-day learning session by Lucideus New Delhi on cyber security.
Industrial Visits: Every semester throws an opportunity for NMIMS students to visit companies and experience the real life work being done by Industry. This year, Dewas Metal, Eicher Volvo, NEC, HAL, Nano systems, ESDS software solutions, NETTRIP, NRB Bearing, Apirock mining India, Porwal Auto Components, Vardhaman Precision works, Genesis Technology were among the many the companies where student went for Industrial Visit.
Internship Programs: Like every year, students of B. Tech & MBA Tech. take up Summer Internship at various corporates. Year 2018 witnessed surge in no of corporates where NMIMS students did their internships with no. of companies touching 150+.
Placement Preparation Training: NMIMS Shirpur has special arrangement with Infosys to conduct IT Skills training program for all engineering domain students for their enhanced learning of Trending IT skills.
Placement Activities: 2018 saw a surge in no of companies screening NMIMS students for various cutting edge technology domain works. NMIMS B. Tech program students had almost 100 companies to choose for their right career head start.
